We took the boys in to the Doctor this morning to make sure that there cold was not RSV. Caleb is only 2 months old so we need to be extra careful. Luckily it's not RSV. Just a bad cold.
Jakob has been asking Leif and I to get him a watch (I got a new watch recently) He is only 3.5 so a watch would be a bit of a strech. But we have been trying to potty train Jakob and it hasn't been fun. We were in the store yesterday and just happend to see a "Potty Watch." It has an automatic timer that sets for 30, 60, or 90 minutes and when it goes of it plays music and lights. Jakob Loves it! It has been really helpful. I think the key has been to make sure he goes every time that the timer goes off. It is tempting sometimes to let him wait until it goes off again, or until he's done doing what he's doing. But I need him to learn that when you gotta go, ya gotta go! I really hope it keeps helping!! Something else interesting is that he hasn't asked for any potty treats since he started wearing the watch. This is good because I was trying to figure out a way to wean him away from the treat EVERY time he went to the toilet.
A written journey. Begun by his mother and continued by Jakob. "Get a notebook, a journal that will last through all time, and maybe the angels may quote from it for eternity. Begin today and write in it your going and comings, your deepest thoughts, your achievements, and your failures, your associations and your triumphs, your impressions and your testimonies." - President Spencer W. Kimball
